Cask Share - Teaninich 2011: St. Emilion Red Wine Barrique

Built over 200 years ago - in 1817 - Teaninich is one of Diageo's powerhouse distilleries, used in blends such as Johnny Walker Red Label 🚶

Teaninich has quite a unique distillation process. Instead of a mash tun, the distillery utilises a hammer mill and mash filter – the only one operational in a Scottish malt distillery. This produces an ultra-clear wort, contributing to the Teaninich character: a fragrant exotic grassiness that brings to mind Japanese green tea and coumarin-rich bison grass.

We've secured a terrific Teaninich cask. It's just turned 13 and it's been maturing almost two years in a first fill red wine barrique, fresh from the St. Emilion wine region of Bordeaux, France.

Distilled in February 2011 and re-racked into the wine cask in July 2022, we'll be bottling this as a Glaschu Spirits Co core release in the summer of 2024.

Each share will be worth £500 and comes with a guaranteed 20% return, paid once all the bottles are sold out (£600 per share). This cask is slightly larger than the previous project, but based on our track record we're estimating this to be achievable within 18-24 months.

Each share purchased comes with a share certificate, signed by both DamGoodCompany Ltd and the purchaser. This guarantees the purchaser their initial payment, plus the agreed return.

The total cost for this bottling project is £17,000.00 and is thus limited to a total number of 34 shares, accumulating to this value.
